Talon Visits Grandma in the Hospital.

Talon had been living with us a month already when I had Jeremy...Here he is visiting Grandma at the hospital....(He actually came with us...as he was in the bathtub when my water broke...LOL!) Great Grandma, aunties and Great Grandpa took turns watching him in the visiting room...
Bet there aren't many who can claim that...LOL! We were the talk of the hospital maternity ward for the second time in three months..... (the first time was when I was in coaching my daughter give birth to Talon while I was a VERY BIG six months pregnant.....)

Maybe I'm in a sentimental mood today, but those pictures brought tears to my eyes. :)

I love the river story and I have one to add.

I keep all my passwords in a little notepad on my desk. One day I couldn't find it and with a sinking feeling in my stomach I remembered hearing something fall into the waste basket next to my desk the day before.

I had emptied the waste baskets and taken the trash out to the dumpster the night before. ACK!

I left a note for hubby telling him what I'd done. (He wakes up at 4:30am which is WAY too early for me.) Know what he did? Before he went to work that day he went climbing through the dumpster, looking for our trash.

He found my notepad. :)

I LOVE the pictures!!! You had me crying over the picture of your newborn.

As for a love story here is what I got -

My elderly father lived with us. We found out he was dying with cancer and my sweet wonderful husband would stay up at night and watch him so I could get some sleep after taking care of him during the day. My husband even helped bathe him and take care of his bodily functions so that my father would have some dignity and not have to have his daughter do it. This really proved to me that not only did my husband love me, but that he also loved my father.

Thanks for the stories guys...those were great!

Todays Thursday Thirteen will be-thirteen things I love about my husband...
What else could it be ...DUH...It IS Valentines Day.....

So here in no particular order .... it gos...

1. I love that my husband is obsessed over our little boy as I am....It has made this a very special time with our ne w little man....

2. On the same note, I love that family is so important to him....he also adores my grandson...an l0ves spending time with all of his family, al though we don't actually get a lot of free time...

3. I love that he is logical, where I tend to react emotionally sometimes. We balance each other out well...

4. I love that we both love music and most of the time it is the same kind... (When we met...at the time we both had something over 1000 CDs and tapes EACH!

5. I love that over the years Kendal has indulged me in my hobbies...(which are not cheap by the way...guitar and photography...)

6. I love that we like the same kinds of movies...it is never a fight to go watch something...

7. I love that we have the same sense of humor...We make each other laugh...He is always says when I crack a "smart one" -"That's why I married you..." (although I am pretty sure it isn't why....LOL)

8. I love that we are friends. It has never just been a "romantic" thing...and I believe that is what has helped us last over the years.

9. I love that we have the same ideas on the "heavy" issues....raising kids, discipline, beliefs, money.....we barely ever argue about stuff like that.

10. I love that he will help me clean the house....(who wouldn't love that??)

11. I love that we have the same life goals.

12. I love that we both love God, and want to do whatever possible to serve him....

and finally...13. I love him....for just being him.

By the way...if you are one of those people who is tired of women bashing the males of the species...then go check out this blog....
